About Us

Biothane Dane started with our Great Dane Indigo. Her reactivity journey pushed us to find gear that could handle her power, unpredictability, and drive. Nothing we found felt strong enough, so we set out to make it ourselves.

We’ve been working on Biothane Dane since May 2023, testing every detail to make sure it holds up to real dogs in real life. In February 2025, we officially launched. This brand is built for dogs like Indigo and the people who stand by them every step of the way.

We’re not just a Dane household! Our pack includes Oliver, a gentle giant of a mutt with German Shepherd, Maremma Sheepdog, Great Pyrenees, and American Bulldog in the mix. We also share life with our three cats, Keanu, Jack, and Phoebe, along with a small farm of goats, sheep, and chickens. Around here, our gear gets used for more than just dog walks. We use our leashes with our goats/sheep too! Everything we make is built to handle real life, real animals, and real chaos.
